On 11th November, Hacken Lee (李克勤) expressed he left Hong Kong for 4 months and gained 3 to 4 pound weight within 2 weeks, after his return from Hangzhou during the rehearsal for TVB Anniversary Gala Show (萬千星輝賀台慶). He said: “I reckon I will have more than 20 gatherings this month as it is my wife’s birthday, followed by mine next month. Hence, I need to keep exercising.”
As Eric Tsang (曾志偉) is the senior management of TVB, Hacken disclosed they had yet to meet up due to their busy work schedules. When asked if Eric specially invited him to the show, he said: “It is TVB grand show. I used to work for TVB and do not mind it.”
Mentioning about making Alan Tam (譚詠麟) cried during Chinese variety show, Hacken smiled and said: “Perhaps my Mandarin is too fluent. Actually, I am his fan and we become good friends after that. I guess I talk too well and make him feel touched.”
When questioned if he was paid high remunerations since participating in many Chinese programmes, Hacken said: “It is not my concern. In fact, I am very happy to be one of the mentors in Voice of China 2021 (中國好聲音2021). It is very challenging and enriching experiences.”
Checking if he gave a sum of money to his wife, Emily Lo (盧淑儀) to invest in property, Hacken explained it was for their kids’ future: “I am very worried that both of my sons might not recognise me since working in Mainland China frequently. Thus, I travel there a few times every year and let’s see if there is any opportunities next year. I feel overjoyed to see my sons and they only talk to me on weekend as they are busy.”
